A body found in a storm points to a bizarre set of circumstances for the death of the victim, subsequently leading to the uncovering of a massive conspiracy. The body, wrapped top to toe in tape, is identified to be an old woman abandoned by her family. To my utter surprise, the prime suspect turns out to be the one closest to me.

暴雨天，我、男友阿成和綽號莉娜裘莉的女生，驅車來到雲林古坑山區，準備前往飯店參加同學婚宴。 途中迷路，偏僻荒地一處廢棄倉庫，意外發現一具渾身纏滿膠帶的屍體。經過警方調查，居然是新娘鄭伊文多年前失蹤的阿嬤。 「好像蠶繭……」莉娜裘莉無意間透露給媒體的一句話，讓原本結案的案情轉往戲劇化的發展。 原來，幾年前在陽明山，也曾出現手法相似的命案。 工程開挖，抽光台中某大學湖水，底下出現數十具同樣遭到膠帶綑綁的屍體：一個個被害人散佈在泥淖中，猶如一顆顆蠶繭。而那間大學，正是我和莉娜裘莉過去就讀的學校。 數日後，案情依舊撲朔迷離。這時，一間銀髮樂活教室的老人失蹤。不久，在北投山區發現一具遭到膠帶纏綁的屍體──是唯恐天下不亂的模仿犯？是殺戮行為升級？還是家屬為了擺脫沉重負擔而痛下殺手？ 兇手為什麼要以失智老人為下手對象？兇手為什麼要將屍體一層層捲黏膠帶？ 抽絲剝繭以後，真相竟然近在我的眼前。
My boyfriend A-Cheng, a friend nicknamed Lina Jolie, and I are driving to the mountainous area in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County on a stormy day to attend a friend's wedding at a hotel in the area. However, we lose our way and chance upon an abandoned warehouse, within which we find a body wrapped up in tape! Police investigations reveal that the body belonged to the grandmother of Cheng Yi-Wen, the bride. The old lady had been reported missing for many years. ""It's like a cocoon..."" An offhand remark by Lina Jolie is picked up by the press, which cracks the closed case open again and steers it in a dramatic direction. It turns out that similar homicide cases also happened on Yangmingshan a few years ago. An excavation project taking place in a university in Taichung involves the draining of a lake. What the workers did not expect is to find dozens of bodies at the bottom of the lake. What's more, all the bodies have been wrapped up in tape, the cocoon-like corpses scattered across the lake bed. Coincidentally, the university is the alma mater of Lina Jolie and me. A few days later, the police are no closer to solving the case. Then, an old man taking a recreational class at an elderly center is reported missing. Shortly after, a body wrapped in tape is found in the mountainous area of Beitou. Is this a copycat murder seeking to cause even more chaos? Has the killing intensified? Or has the old man been killed by his family members looking to be rid of a heavy burden? Why has the murderer chosen to target elderly people with dementia? Why did the murderer wrapped the bodies in layers of adhesive tape? As the threads of the mystery unravel, I learn that the key to the mystery has been right before me all along.
