本書入選2019法蘭克福書展臺灣館【臺灣精選書區】 即將度過六十歲生日的文學教授柯廷，過去與沒有血緣關係的兒子蛋仔住在一起，卻因為一場爭執，兒子在萬聖日前一天離家出走。也是在那一天，柯廷收到了在他們的國家，每名成年人到達一定年齡後就會收到的滌淨通知──零八年，政府頒布滌淨法，為了減少社會成本而將滿七十歲的老人關入毒氣室處決。柯廷收到的通知卻表示從今年度起，滌淨將提前至六十歲。 柯廷決定在自己死亡前找到蛋仔，和他道別。然而知道蛋仔去向的，卻是大城市中一夥由老年人組成的神祕革命軍！當柯廷終於抵達兒子所到之處，他將同時發現美好與醜惡的真相…… 故事以不同的日子作為篇名，同時每一個日子都是一篇短篇，每個角色分別在不同的日子，啟程展開各自獨立卻牽連交會的旅程；十幾個互涉短篇猶如玻璃碎片般折射出不同面向的故事光輝，透過這些碎片，由讀者自行拼湊事件全貌，深入各個角色的隱密過往。
A literature professor, Ting Ko, who lives with his not-blood-related son, Eggie, was about to celebrate his 60th birthday. However, it occurs that there is a domestic dispute between them, and then on the day before Halloween, the son runs away from home. On the exact same day his son runs away, Ting Ko received a “washout notice” from the government, which is the law of washout that Government promulgated in 08. The law of washout locked up the senior citizens who are about to turn 70 in the gas chamber for execution, but notice Ting Ko received said that the age of compulsory execution has been changed to 60. Ting Ko decides to find Eggie and says final farewell before he dies. However, the ones who know Eggie's whereabout are the senior citizens who form a mysterious Revolutionary Army! When Ting Ko finally arrives his son’s place, he discovers bright side and dark side of the untold truth. Each chapter depicts scenes happened on a specific day and named after it. Characters appear in different chapters seems to set off journeys on their own, but in fact, each character’s storyline is tangled with each other's. More than ten pieces of stort stories reflect different espects of the dystopia-tale like sparkling fragment of glasses, and through reading these scattered pieces of the story, readers are allowed to put together the full frame of the story and even dig in the secret past of each character.

作者簡介
1990年夏天出生，東華大學華文文學研究所畢業，對撰寫故事異常執著，作品有《怪物之鄉》、《天鵝死去的日子》、《夢之國度碧西兒》、〈阿帕拉契的火〉。
Born in the summer of 1990, Ciou,Chang-Ting is an author who received Master’s Degree in Sinophone Literatures from National Dong Hwa University and has an obstinate determination to write stories. He is also the author of several novels, namely, The Monster Town, Days of dead swan, Kingdom of Dreams, The Fire of Appalachian.
