Artist Ejan drew from her own experiences and spent two years composing this work, Taiwan's first botanical themed comic, carefully reviewed by Dr. Tung Gene-sheng and Dr. Tsai Szu-wie from the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute. In 1924, in what is now the Taipei Botanical Garden, the construction of Taiwan's oldest and most complete herbarium was completed. From collecting specimens to identifying, studying, and recording them, the whole process of establishing a complete plant specimen requires dedication and enthusiasm from a team of collectors and researchers.

1924年，現時的台北植物園內，臺灣最古老也典藏最豐富的植物標本館——腊葉館落成。那是臺灣原生植物調查大躍進的黃金年代，滋養了採集人的堅毅之心，傳承至今。大正臺灣，研究交流熱絡、知名學者輩出。某日，大稻埕藥草堂迎來貴客，捎來《綱要臺灣民間藥用植物誌》的發行喜訊。但藥草堂的莽撞少主卻惹出大禍，意外進入腊葉館工作「還債」。從採集、鑑定到研究、紀錄，一株植物標本的製程，滿載採集人、研究者的熱忱與夢想。
