Temple of Devilbuster is a temple for sinners to atone for their sins, sinners transfer their evil karma to the devil who is imprisoned in the temple to obtain redemption. But the devil who goes to hell for strangers is the one I love the most. No matter what kind of monsters are dormant in your heart, I will take you home; even if I have to slaughter the six realms and travel through the sixteen hell, I will still take you home.
作品簡介
改編自第五十七屆金馬獎最佳劇情短片入圍作品《伏魔殿》，主要內容在描述男主角為了找回自己最愛的人，放下一切人間羈絆，不惜一切代價也要將其從神佛手中救出的故事。 本劇包含動作、驚悚還有科幻類型的元素，隨著劇情的發展，觀眾會逐漸發現看似封建迷信的伏魔殿其實在對宇宙與人的關係進行哲學思辨。在本劇的世界觀中，人類與機器無異，所有的選擇都會回歸到最基本的二進制：０與１、常與無常、遵循既定規則或破壞既定規則、犯罪或不犯罪。而伏魔殿存在的意義在於維持其平衡，讓人間可以永續輪迴，不至於墨守成規成為一攤死水，也不因為過於激進而無法控制。而本劇的核心主題也在於此：為了大部分人的利益而迫害小部分人，是否是真正的「平衡」。
Adapted from the 57th Golden Horse Awards Best Short Film Finalists "Temple of Devilbuster", the main content is the protagonist who leave all human fetters behind, just to find his favorite person and rescue her from the Buddhas at all costs. This series contains elements of action, thriller and science fiction. With the development of the plot, the audience will gradually discover that the Temple of Devilbuster is actually philosophical speculation on the relationship between the universe and person. In the worldview of the show, humans are no different from machines that all choices will return to the most basic binary: 0 and 1, constant and impermanent, following rules or breaking rules, crime or not crime. The meaning of the existence of the Temple of Devilbuster is to maintain this balance, so that the world can be reincarnated forever. It will not become a backwater, nor be too radical and uncontrollable. And the core theme of the show is also here: Is it true "balance" to persecute a small number of people for the benefit of the majority.
