井之頭五郎（松重豐飾）是個進口雜貨的貿易商，到各地拜訪客戶時，喜歡探訪當地的餐廳，點自己想吃的菜。第九季中探訪的餐廳將以家族經營的小店為主，在疫情之下，井之頭五郎重新體會獨自吃飯的奧義，構成一個能填飽肚子和心靈的美食物語。
This drama features the art of eating alone. Goro Inogashira runs his own little imported goods business and visits many different towns from day to day. The places where he stops to eat are where this drama unfolds. In each episodes he discovers new and surprising gourmet food and we are treated to his unique and peculiar view on the art of eating alone.

This drama features the art of eating alone. Goro Inogashira runs his own little imported goods business and visits many different towns from day to day. The places where he stops to eat are where this drama unfolds. In each episodes he discovers new and surprising gourmet food and we are treated to his unique and peculiar view on the art of eating alone. Though the drama is based on a popular comic book, the eateries he stops by are new, actual restaurants that are located by the crew beforehand.
