一天早晨，葛里戈醒來變成蟲，把父母、妹妹和經理嚇壞了，父親用蘋果痛擊，使他受重傷，家裡招租的房客看到他之後打算搬家，家人也想趕他出門。終於，葛里戈帶著滿心的感動和愛，呼出最後一口氣而死去。
One day, Gregor wakes up and finds himself transformed into a bug, shocking his parents, sister, and manager. His father attacks him with an apple and seriously injures him. The tenants at his house see him and want to move out. His family also wants to get rid of him. In the end, Gregor breathes his last while feeling moved and loving.
作品簡介
前衛跨界的多媒體劇場，改編自捷克知名作家卡夫卡的《蛻變》，應愛丁堡藝術節的邀請，於「科技與藝術」主題，委製首演於國王劇院。不僅是融合電子科技與表演藝術，更引領東方藝術傳承與創新的新思維。 「蛻變」翻轉傳統，讓戲曲藝術因科技而走向未來，真人影像互動，立體化的角色表演，360度感測戲劇情緒，在虛與實的無限旅程中進出、穿梭。 多媒體：以水墨表現夢境的多重視覺和舞台虛實變化。全劇為吳興國一人獨角戲，但影像中的芸芸眾生都是他心靈的投射。 音樂：為獨創，現場演奏，東西方樂器交響。時寧靜、時磅礡，人聲音色多層次交疊。 服裝、佈景、燈光：一體的裝置藝術。這是一場演員及戲曲的唱、作、念、打及舞蹈、電影的多才華展現，也是傳統與當代雲端科技和美術、服裝設計概念的高峰對話。
Adapted from the famous novella by Franz Kafka, the groundbreaking, interdisciplinary Metamorphosis was invited and commissioned by the Edinburgh International Festival under the festival theme “technology and art.” Premiered in the King’s Theatre, the production not only combined digital technology and performing art but also pioneered a new concept of heritage and innovation of Asian art. Metamorphosis overturns xiqu’s tradition, allowing it to move into the future via technology. The production features interaction between the actor and projections, three-dimensional characters, and surround dramatic emotions, constantly crossing the boundary between virtuality and reality. Multimedia: The production employs multimedia in the style of Chinese ink wash painting. Wu Hsing-kuo is the only actor on stage, but all the dramatis personae are projections of his psyche. Music: The production features original and live music using both Western and Asian instruments. The music is sometimes serene, sometimes thundering, with layers of human voices and instruments. Costume, Scene, and Lighting Design: The design is an organic piece of installation art, supporting the multifaceted performance combining acting, singing, dancing, acrobatics, and films. It amounts to a summit conversation among cutting-edge technology, graphic arts, and costume design.
