★ 本書榮獲國藝會出版補助 明朝萬曆年間，西班牙、葡萄牙和荷蘭在海上競逐與東方的貿易，而日本幕府也推行海外通商，進一步拓展了世界觀。反觀陸地上大明帝國的君王，對海外華人不仁，以草芥待之，無視於閩地生活艱辛必須出海貿易，卻用嚴厲的禁海令嚴加控制，落海為盜不啻是一種逼上梁山的無奈。 在陸權向海權逐漸轉移的情況下，此時有一群福建人，便在多方海洋勢力中努力生存和謀取利益。由李旦、顏思齊兩人建立的海上帝國，往來日本平戶、福建月港與呂宋島，前者被稱為甲必丹，後者被稱為開台王，但這兩個名字卻被正史給遺漏，偶爾零星的紀錄亦僅視為造反的海盜。其餘歷史人物如鄭芝龍、許心素也是其中的代表人物。透過這些海商在經緯交錯的海道上的貿易與冒險，勾勒出明朝末年海外華人的歷史與命運，並藉由這些內無國家主權協助、外與外夷抗衡，被視為「天朝棄民」的華人，如何在李旦的謀略下，在海外的大員（台灣）建國，為之後鄭成功收復台灣奠定基礎。 這是一部以海洋文化為主的小說，描繪這些被稱為生理人的海商，在被海禁鎖死於陸地的政策下，以及西方強權船堅炮利的威脅中，開展海外新天地，最終在台灣建國東寧的故事。
★ This book won the publishing grant from the National Arts Association During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands competed on the sea for trade with the East, and the Japanese shogunate also promoted overseas trade, further expanding its world outlook. On the other hand, the monarch of the Ming Empire on land treated the overseas Chinese with disrespect. He ignored the hardships of life in Fujian and had to go to sea to trade. With the gradual transfer of land power to sea power, there was a group of Fujianese working hard to survive and seek benefits in the multi-party maritime forces. The maritime empire established by Li Dan and Yan Siqi traveled between Hirado in Japan, Yuegang in Fujian and Luzon Island. The former was called Jiabitan and the latter was called Kaitai King, but these two names were given by the official history. Omissions and occasional sporadic records are only regarded as rebellious pirates. Other historical figures such as Zheng Zhilong and Xu Xinsu are also representatives. Through the trade and adventures of these maritime merchants on the interlaced seaways, the history and fate of the overseas Chinese in the late Ming Dynasty were outlined. With the help of these foreigners without the assistance of state sovereignty, they were regarded as "abandoned citizens of the heaven". How to establish a country with a large overseas Chinese (Taiwan) under Li Dan's strategy, laying the foundation for Zheng Chenggong's subsequent recovery of Taiwan. This is a novel based on marine culture. It depicts these marine merchants, who are called biological human beings.
