★ This book was awarded the Ministry of Culture's 103 Art Rookie Award ★ The novella extended from the first prize of the Lin Rongsan Literary Award "The Legacy of the Wasted River", with fiction as the surface and realism as the inside, complementing each other, it seems to be the pursuit of a golden dream, but it leads the reader through the number of inferences. A hundred years of Beitai history. ★ The application of local history and culture is not inferior to the Japanese works such as "Deer Man" and "Xiaoshan Kaleidoscope", and "The Legacy of Abandoned River" is valuable because its literary quality far exceeds the above-mentioned works. As a physician and writer, the hospital where Yang Shenxuan serves is located in the Keelung River Basin. His clinical experience coupled with his hobby of natural geography makes him feel the pulse of life. He can use the river as an analogy: the image of disease captured by medical workers, It is only a section of a river. If you can trace the river, you can dig out a larger history of diseases. The river is like an artery in the human body. When a century-old flood peak detonates the fragile wall of the embankment and collapses, it is like the paralysis of a city caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. So Yang Shenxuan has been writing for ten years, and finally completed The Legacy of the Wasted River. The magical fantasy of history and the metaphor of rivers in the book repeatedly echo today's society. It satirizes the past with the present and ends with an allegory, which makes it enjoyable to read.
