《永恆前一秒》是台灣第一部結合天文的校園愛情片。不但有絢麗、讓人讚嘆的天文景觀和場面，同時保留校園片中青春、熱血、愛情的元素。 故事由一起天文意象-超新星爆炸展開，讓曾經沒交集的三人交織在一起。 以女主角，小竹，為主觀點，但和《我的少女時代》不同的是，小竹是個叛逆、活潑嗆辣、喜歡天文的天才；男主角，小豪，錯過國家選拔賽的柔道暖男，想要上大學卻成績很差，因緣際會之下，兩人相識，開啟一段以考上大學為名的冒險。 這段青春冒險因兩人的興趣：天文、柔道，增添許多色彩，在星空下騎著腳踏車在河堤畔奔馳、和不良學生衝突時展現的柔道技巧等。 最後因劇中的第三位主角，小豪的網友，其實是來自六年後的小竹，透過她的幫忙，改變小竹曾被無差別攻擊的事實，卻因此產生蝴蝶效應......三人必須拯救有所犧牲，才能拯救這段錯置的時空，在校園青春片中融入科幻的浩大結局。

A Second Before Eternity is Taiwan’s first high school romance film that integrates astronomy. Apart from gorgeous, awe-inspiring astronomy sequences, the film will also preserve the elements of youth, passion and romance often found in high school settings. The film begins with a supernova explosion, which brings together three people who have never met before. The story is told mainly through the perspective of the female protagonist, Xiao-zhu, a rebellious, sassy genius who loves astronomy. The male protagonist, Xiao-hao, is a caring judo athlete who missed the national tournament and wants to get into university despite terrible grades. They meet by chance and embark on a coming-of-age journey together, with their respective interests — astronomy and judo — leading to many colourful adventures, from riding their bikes along the river under the star-studded sky to fighting off school bullies with judo techniques. The third protagonist, Xiao-hao’s online friend, is actually Xiao-zhu from six years in the future. Through her help, Xiao-zhu is able to avoid an indiscriminate attack, but it also sets off a butterfly effect…and the three of them must make sacrifices to save this misplaced slice of time and space.
