作品簡介

在一個與現代社會相近，但充斥著被稱為「惡魔」的怪物橫行的世界。惡魔是帶著動植物、概念等所有事物的名稱而誕生，超越人類智慧的怪物。人們認為該名稱越是恐怖，惡魔的力量就越大。惡魔可以透過補充人類的血液維持力量和治癒傷勢。佔據人類屍體的惡魔稱為「魔人」，雖有人類的外貌，但人格是惡魔，但有少數可保持理性的特例。惡魔獵人是指與惡魔締結契約，以消滅惡魔為業的人，包括政府轄下的「公安對魔特異課」和民間的惡魔獵人。
