「新冠肺炎」的威脅，為人們的生活帶來許多困境，更是剝奪孩子們的自由與行動。在這場史上未見的危機中，我們還能為孩子們做出什麼類型的節目？「kakudan時光機」透過時事議題企劃出『疫情下的我們「強ㄐㄧㄤˋ』生活』為主題。當媒體製播也遭受不能群聚的限制時，我們嘗試藉著「孩子可以做的事」去反向操作節目的產生，並鼓勵孩子自己用鏡頭紀錄疫情下的生活故事，讓他們真實透過影像的拍攝及展現，培養他們生活的觀

The threatening COVID-19 has brought us a lot of difficulties and inconveniences in life and deprived our children of their freedom of movements. In the unprecedented crisis, what kind of shows can we make for our children? With current issues, “Kakudan Time Machine” tries to tell the audience how we’ve lived under the influence of COVID-19. Due to the gathering prohibition, we try to create the show with what our children can do, encouraging them to record their daily stories under the pandemic with their own cameras. With their own filming, they’ve developed observation, perception, imagination and creativity of life. With the viewpoints closer to where they live, they convey their thoughts with video images, through which they’re guided to tell the audience what they see.

Kakudan為台灣原住民排灣語，「文化，慣習」的意思，希望可以從台灣原住民族雋永的文化，找到實踐的道路。台灣原住民族在這塊土地上已生活了八千年，祖先留下了珍貴的文化資產與族群智慧。惟因過去的歷史面對不同時代的遷徙漢化與日治時期殖民政權的干擾，使得原住民傳統文化的存續面臨斷層與式微的挑戰。

Kakudan Time Machine is a Children's and Youth Education Program. The word “kakudan” means culture and customs in the Paiwan language. The program hopes to use the meaningful culture of indigenous peoples to carve out a practical way forward and reinvigorate the culture. Taiwan's indigenous peoples have lived on this land for eight thousand years. Despite the precious cultural assets and ancient tribal wisdom left by their ancestors, due to interference from generations of immigrant Han Chinese people and a period of Japanese colonial rule, the traditional culture of indigenous peoples faces a loss of transmission and gradual decline. Faced with a gradual decline of our traditional culture and the passing of so many indigenous elders, how can we rescue our culture? How will we educate the next generation with the right cultural knowledge and understanding? How can we pass on our cultural traditions in a clear and inspiring way? The main aim of Kakudan Time Machine is to address these pressing questions.
