The fern, with its classical elegance, captivating stories, and remarkable survival wisdom, is one of the most distinguished members of the plant kingdom. In Taiwan's Fern Calendar - Fern Jue, a page is devoted to each of the 366 days of the year, and every day is accompanied by a unique fern species. At the outset of their growth, ferns often begin with a question mark, and we too have many questions. However, with the aid of an ever-expanding fern map, we may someday find ourselves unexpectedly gazing upon the same fern at an unassuming location.

種籽每年都給自己一個課題，累積每一天的功，便是來年每一日的曆，2020年以蕨為曆，蕨的初萌，總是先冒出個問號，而一腳踩進蕨境裡，其實我們的問號不比蕨少，還附加更多驚嘆號。 蕨是很古老的植物，是活化石，是最高等的低等植物，也是最低等的高等植物，比恐龍更早現身地球，卻仍存活了下來，其間充滿了生存智慧，萬物各有巧妙，我們只能一再端詳，以有限的悟性，去領略造物之手、設計的工。 每日有蕨相伴，366天也不及台灣蕨類的一半，我們的問號依然不少，但多了一幅景點日增的蕨地圖，也許有一天某一個不起眼的地點，你我不齊而遇也不約而同地注視著同一棵蕨。
Every year, Seedesign always give ourselves a task to accumulate daily efforts, which becomes the calendar for the following year. In 2020, the fern was chosen as the theme, as its emergence always begins with a question mark. Stepping into the world of ferns, we realize that we have just as many question marks, and even more exclamation marks. Ferns are ancient plants, living fossils, the highest of the lower plants and the lowest of the higher plants. They appeared on Earth earlier than dinosaurs and have survived to this day, full of survival wisdom. Every living thing has its own unique features, and we can only contemplate and appreciate the hand of creation and design with our limited understanding. Having ferns as companions every day for 366 days is only half of the total fern species in Taiwan. We still have many questions, but we now have a map of ferns with increasing scenic spots. Perhaps one day, at an inconspicuous location, you and I will coincidentally gaze at the same fern.
