  隨著都市化發展，台灣呈現出兩種祖孫關係：一種是父母出外打拼，留下孩子與上一代共同生活，即所謂的「隔代教養」；另一種則是孩子隨著父母搬到都市，一年見不到祖父母幾次面的「假日祖孫」。這兩種現象形塑的祖孫，可能疏離，可能寵愛。透過節目，不只能呈現其中的多元情感，也讓祖孫有更深的交流。
  本節目融合了外景紀實，與棚內競賽兩大形式。
  外景紀實部份，我們以鏡頭展現了祖孫倆的個性與日常相處，紀錄阿婆教孫女做菜的過程；接下來，他們進入棚內競賽進行挑戰，現場設有兒童評審，除了試吃評論，也代替觀眾的視角，向參賽祖孫提問。
  主持人則在攝影棚內，化身為挑戰者、阿婆、兒童評審的橋樑，讓三方順暢交流，並在烹飪過程中扮演助手與訪問者，彰顯兒少參賽者的能力與想法。
  

  With urbanization has come two types of relationships between kids and their grandparents: Parents are busy working, leaving their kids to be brought up by grandparents. Or kids move to the city with parents and seldom chances to see their grandparents. Therefore, grandparents can either be alienated from their grandchildren or too pamper them. Through the show, we exhibit the diverse feelings between them and allow them to interact with each other more. The show combines the filming on location and the challenges in the studio. With the filming on location, we show how these kids interact with their grandparents in their daily life. We recorded how the grandma taught her granddaughter to cook. Then they came to the studio for the challenge. Our Judges tasted the dish, made comments and asked them questions on behalf of the audience. In the studio, our presenter facilitated the communication among the teenager contestants, their grandparents and Judges, and also played the role as an assistant and interviewer at the same time to help us know better what our contestants were thinking.
