Hsieh Wen-Hsien lives a quiet, slow-paced life in Taichung. He enjoys the shade of summer trees, afternoon coffee, satisfying endings, restful sleep, good listeners, and focused writing. He is a creative writing teacher at Thousand Trees Writing Workshop, a contributing author at Hsiao-Ming Girls' High School, a columnist, and a literature camp instructor and literary award judge for various institutions. His works have received numerous honors, including selections in the Chiu Ko Annual Fiction Anthology, the China Times Literary Award, the Liberty Times Lin Rong-San Literary Award, the Mandarin Daily News Mu Di Children's Literature Award, the Religious Literature Award, the Merit Times Literary Award, various local literary prizes, and grants from the National Culture and Arts Foundation for both creation and publication.
