游美雲，台灣第一位女性產物保險理賠人員。 職場上長袖善舞的游美雲，在證券業風起雲湧時，日進斗金築高樓，但也因此樓塌了，欠下許多債務。故事不從悲苦淒涼的身世出發，而是從她如何走出一條不一樣的養女路，透過她的職場故事與婚姻選擇，看見她如何出發走向「慈濟路」，將自己在職場上的經歷與能力，投入慈濟志業。 游美雲師姊雖僅是千萬慈濟人中的一個小螺絲釘，有著養女的身世，有著為人妻、為人母的為難。但，不一樣的是：她自小便不抱怨命運，一直擁有正能量與正向思維，以她的生活智慧，積極向前行。
You Mei-yun worked at various jobs before: a securities company, a foreign trade association, an education training company, and even as a radio program host. While she was making tens of thousands of dollars a month, her life took a dive when the stock market plunged, and her son passed away. A chance to meet Tzu Chi turned her life around, so she could use the potentials of her life. She began driving a recycling truck to do recycling. She used her experiences from public relationships that she organized a Buddha Day ceremony at a traditional market; she inspired people to watch Master Cheng Yen's morning talks on TV, and also promotes vegetarianism wherever she goes. She is able to apply her professional skills at Tzu Chi's activities.
