王立、林秉宥
王立，部落格與臉書粉專「王立第二戰研所」版主，理科人出身的教書匠，以天橋下說書人自居。研究古典戰略為主的相關學說、戰史、武器、系統沿革，與社會制度變化影響。從二○○七年開個人部落格後，以每周最少一篇三千字的自我要求，定期更新部落格至今多年，近千多篇文章從書刊介紹到各種理論簡介，希望能把社會人文科學轉化成科普等級、中學生都可讀的文章，持續進行一個人的作戰。二○一六年開辦臉書粉專，除了定期文章外，也在方格子開辦系列專欄，協助普及性的觀念推行。近年主要進行軍事常識普及化的任務，旨在破除中國資訊戰滲透，對台灣民眾觀念誤導的更正。 林秉宥，東吳大學政治系學士、淡江大學法學碩士，現為新北市市議員，為王立第二戰研所成員。曾協助《阿共打來怎麼辦：你以為知道但其實一無所知的台海軍事常識》的出版與推廣。

Matt Wang, Lin Ping-Yu
Matt Wang is the author of the blog and Facebook page “Matt Wang’s Second Institute on Warfare.” A STEM-trained teacher, he researches classical strategy, military history, weapons, and social change. Since 2007, he has published over 800 posts aiming to make military and social knowledge accessible to secondary-school students. Recently, he focuses on popularizing military knowledge, countering Chinese information warfare, and correcting misconceptions in Taiwan. Lin Ping-Yu holds a bachelor’s in Political Science from Soochow University and a master’s in Law from Tamkang University. He is a New Taipei City councilor and a member of Matt Wang’s Second Institute on Warfare. Lin contributed significantly to the publication and promotion of If China Attacks: Taiwan Strait Military Knowledge You Thought You Knew but Actually Didn’t.

This book uses the Russia–Ukraine war as a case study to analyze the real-world performance of modern weapons and strategies, and to contrast and debunk widely circulated military rumors in Taiwanese society. The author emphasizes that only by building correct public military knowledge and a strong will to resist can war be effectively prevented and national defense develop properly. The book also explores what lessons China might learn from the Ukraine battlefield and how it may adjust its military strategy. It further extends the discussion to regional and global contexts, guiding readers in Taiwan to reflect: whether war breaks out depends on the Taiwanese people themselves.
