30 years ago, Yang was a journalist and witness, standing in Tiananmen Square. On 4th June 2019, Yang began to describe that morning 30 years ago: The protesting students, surrounded by guns, waved the white flags to visit the torn tents one by one, hoping to find anyone who was still alive. They sang the Internationale in tears, leaning on each other to retreat from the square.
