《蠱》的原創動畫短片於2014年發佈時已獲得國內外諸多影展及獎項肯定，除了特殊民族文化的故事背景具特色外，奇異的色彩、「情蠱」類似「愛情魔藥」的奇幻概念，與近人情的愛戀情懷，皆使觀眾驚艷並產生共鳴。 《蠱》的IP特殊並有價值之處在於以默劇奇幻動畫的非寫實手法，探討日常生活常見的愛戀佔有慾，並透過蠱蟲的操控設定讓觀眾反思「愛」的兩難。「蠱」就像是內心裡逐漸滋長的愛苗與渴望，進而衍生成佔有慾。在愛情的過程中沒有人能全身而退，對愛的堅持讓男女們都消融了自我。 以動畫製作的層面來看，要在人物有限的表情變化中夾帶細膩隱晦的情感並不容易，而這也是《蠱》之所以特別的原因之一。另外，《蠱》一片將蠱蟲的形象翻轉，透過繽紛色彩讓其擺脫巫毒詛咒的恐怖形象，此設計也帶入更多正反兩方的思考：究竟「蠱」的製作是否合乎道德？在眾人皆用蠱的社會裡放棄蠱並導致愛人消亡，該如何抉擇？由此可見《蠱》的故事梗概仍有許多以短片形式說不盡且耐人尋味的惆悵情懷可延伸創作。

'GU' (poison made of venomous worms), an original animated short film widely recognized by many film festivals and awards at home and abroad as released in 2014, not only features a unique story background of special ethnic culture but also has amazed and resonated with the audience through distinctive colors, a fantasy concept of "gu poisoning of love" similar to "love potion", and love feelings close to everyone. What makes the intellectual property (IP) of 'GU' special and valuable is the use of a non-realistic approach of mime fantasy animation, which explores love feelings and possessiveness common in daily life and prompts the audience to have a reflection on the dilemma of "love" through a setting of gu worm manipulation. "Gu" resembles the seeds of love and desire that gradually sprout in the heart before eventually evolving into possessiveness. Fallen in love, nobody can withdraw and remain unharmed as the obsession with love has dissolved the selves of both men and women. From the perspective of animation production, it is never easy to carry subtle and obscure emotions through limited expression changes of characters, and such a feature is what makes 'Gu' exceptional. In addition, the film reverses the image of gu worms and gets rid of the horrible image of evil curses with brilliant colors, which brings about more thoughts on both justice and injustice sides: Is it ethically right to produce gu poisons? In a society where everyone uses gu poisons, how to make a choice between following the society or giving up gu poisons at a cost of losing the beloved one? As inspired by these questions, many intriguing melancholy feelings in the story plot of 'GU' are not yet finished and can still be expanded for creating films or series.
