Police Wu Zhaoyang was ordered to go to Japan to participate in an auction to find ancient books, and by the way to investigate the case of his classmates passing out, and board the "Phantom" cruise ship sailing from Kaohsiung to Nagasaki, Japan. Unexpectedly, he was involved in the conspiracy of the Chinese Communist Party to organize the "Red Sword" on the ship, and the "Phantom" cruise ship also had an unknown breakdown in the legendary Omega Zone. When everyone set foot on the atoll, they discovered a secret American base that was developing the latest weapon against the CCP. 高雄市人。第38屆吳三連獎文學獎得主。詩人、小說家、現代台語文學推動者，現任《台文戰線》雜誌社社長。目前有華語小說《柴山少年安魂曲》、《骷髏酒吧》、台語小說《槍聲》、《燈塔下》、《大港嘴》、《金色島嶼之歌》、《復活的人》、《幻影號的奇航》等作品。
Ôo Tiông-siông is an important novelist in Taiwan. He is also a poet. As a member who concern about the revitalization of Taiwanese language, he wants to inherit Taiwan’s history, culture, language, and creates new of Taiwanese Literature by his work. Taiwanese, also known as Taiwanese Hokkien, is one of endangered languages in Taiwan. He had written novels and poets by Taiwanese, and won many literary awards.

《幻影號的奇航》是小說家胡長松以台語完成的長篇科幻小說。不同於台語文學過往多以鄉土寫實為基調，胡長松在本作當中，勇於加入懸疑、偵探、謀殺、間諜、魔幻、愛情、環保、科幻、中共超限戰等元素，從高雄內惟出發，融合東亞的國際現實、多國勢力的爭鬥、中美二強對立的世界觀，以及台灣獨特的歷史處境，創造一個精緻、綿密、迂迴且極富想像力的故事，透過台語＋科幻的全新激盪，表現出台灣當前最迫切的問題。 故事中以第一人稱全知觀點與主角警察吳昭陽的案件筆記作為兩條敘事線推動情節，透過寫實與魔幻交混的寫法，在吳昭陽追索真相的過程當中，展開壯闊的冒險。故事舞台是一艘名為「幻影號」的郵輪，在航行途中擱淺在神祕的「烏美加」（Omega Zone）環礁區，途中涉入了中共紅色組織「紅劍」團體長期涉入台灣地方勢力的陰謀，以及美國為了抵抗中國的電磁脈衝武器（EP）而透過間諜收集A元素礦砂、建構祕密傳送通道的戰略布局。
"The adventures of the Phantom" is a long science fiction novel written by novelist Ôo Tiông-siông in Taiwanese. Different from Taiwanese literature that used local realism as the keynote in the past, Ôo Tiông-siông has the courage to add suspense, detectives, murder, spies, magic, love, environmental protection, science fiction, and the CCP’s ultra-restricted warfare in this work. Starting from Kaohsiung, integrating the international reality of East Asia, the struggle of multinational forces, the worldview of the two powers of China and the United States, and the unique historical situation of Taiwan, to create a delicate, dense, circuitous and highly imaginative story, through the new agitation of Taiwanese and science fiction, showing Taiwan’s most pressing problem at present. In the story, the first person point of view and the protagonist's case notes are used as two narrative lines to promote the plot. Through a mixture of realism and magic, protagonist embarks on a magnificent adventure in the process of pursuing the truth. The story stage is a cruise ship named "Phantom", which ran aground in the mysterious "Omega Zone" atoll during its voyage. On the way, it was involved in the CCP's red organization, the "Red Sword" group, which has long been involved in local forces in Taiwan. In order to resist China’s electromagnetic pulse weapons (EP), the United States used spies to collect A-element ore and construct secret transmission channels.
