傳說中被孫悟空打回原形的牛魔王化成妖靈，附身在猩猩王體內，企圖消滅孫悟空所護持的四大猴族後代。 四大猴族中的猴人族決定選岀最強者到花果山，請孫悟空來幫忙，卻意外選出全族中最沒用的阿丁，族長加派其孫女柔柔與阿丁共赴花果山。 柔柔與阿丁遇劍齒虎攻擊，幸化險為夷，又為猿人族所擒，準備煮來吃，後為神秘的火奴所救，在危急時傳授阿丁功夫，成功打敗了蜘蛛精與辣妹殺手飛飛，又經過了火龍的鍛煉，終於成功進入花果山水濂洞內，卻發現沒有救星孫悟空，失望的阿丁真心磕頭祈求時卻發現地下藏著孫悟空的金箍，阿丁戴在頭上後戰力暴升，立即回救猴人族。 經過雷霆般的戰鬥後，阿丁終於擊敗了猩猩王，但猩猩王挾持女祭師，因無知要阿丁將金箍送給他，待猩猩王戴上金箍後，阿丁趕緊唸出緊箍咒，將牛魔王從猩猩王體內逼出並加以殲滅，而火奴拿出自己貼身多年的香袋與妻子-女祭師相認，一家團聚。
