1990s in Taipei, Angel Ding, the second child in her family, her father was veteran from Mainland China, her mother was local Taiwanese woman, much younger than her husband. Angel’s father was quiet in family, her mother controlled everything with her own grocery, money and loud voice was her weapon against uncertainty and insecurity. Angel had one older and one younger brother, she, the daughter was the most ignored. Angel was unhappy in family, she was isolated from love. When Angle grew up, she started to have different feeling about girls. She didn’t know it’s right or wrong, maybe wrong, she guessed. But when Ching Ching appeared in thier classroom, she knew it’s right. Unfortunately, Angel and Ching Ching’s relationship was discovered, Ching Ching committed suicide for the despair of the coming future. Angel was hurt badly, she was isolated from love again. And of course, her family couldn’t understand and felt shame for her. Angel left home after colleague, she breathed freedom for the first time. She also found a place like home, a lesbian bar, she could be herself and no one would judge her there. Angel was lucky to have a girl friend Maggie. Maggie was mature and tender, always waiting for Angle, even she had affair with other girls. Angel didn’t know how to stay for long time, she knew it hurt Maggie, she just didn’t know how to say sorry. At the same time, Angel’s mother never changed, complaining about everything, as if she was the most unlucky person in the world. Angle tried to return home for her brothers and father, but it didn’t work, Angel’s mother was angry, she thought no one loved her. Angel left home again, who she was, where she could stay, she didn’t know the answer…
