When my mother gets cancer for the second time, she asked if I would keep her company through her chemotherapy. And of course, I said yes. But how am I meant to cope with it all? Pam Pam uses a clean but comical style to portray the joys and sorrows of accompanying a loved one through an illness.

媽媽二次罹癌消息引爆的不只是健康問題，還有各種家庭關係的緊張，媽媽蠻不在乎的亂跑、爸爸傻里傻氣的幫不上忙、弟弟永遠都說沒有空，PAM PAM仿彿一個人抵抗著媽媽一塊一塊消失的可能性…… 《癌症好朋友》是PAM PAM在2019年開始於社群上連載的人氣作品，PAM PAM把自己畫成一個披著「孝女外袍」的小孩，沒有了外袍就無法被看見。陪病的過程，也讓PAM PAM重新檢視各種家庭關係，在焦慮、不安、不甘與心酸的背後，她發現自己與母親承接著相同的責任，她們都同是「女兒」的傳統責任。《我弟小時候》則是談《癌症好朋友》中的亞斯柏格弟弟小時候的種種事蹟，姊弟倆的巨大差異爆笑感十足。
Upon hearing the news of her mother’s second cancer, office lady Pam Pam was having a wild daydream. It was the summer of 2017, she just got back from a trip to Kyoto, Japan and was immersed in the idea of quitting her job and moving to Japan to study Japanese. As she started doing realistic research, she learned the news of her mother’s cancer. The biopsy showed it was stage two breast cancer. When she hung up the phone, Pam Pam burst into tears. The diagnosis not only revealed her mother’s health problem, but also threw the family into turmoil. As her daughter, Pam Pam naturally took up the responsibility to nurse her mother. However, what lies behind this development, which seems perfectly normal in Chinese culture, is a much deeper anxiety. “Why is it always me?” “Why was my mother so pleased that my brother came to flush her blood tubing just once?” In her comic, Pam Pam is portrayed as a child who wraps herself in a blanket and is ready to cry her eyes out in it. While taking care of her mother in the hospital, Pam Pam re-examined her family relationship. Despite being anxious, upset, sad and discontent, she discovers that both she and her mother share the same responsibility – the traditional responsibility of a daughter.

作者簡介
活躍於插畫家、獨立漫畫和獨立音樂圈，也擅製作動畫。 2009年畢業於實踐大學媒體傳達設計學系，2013年畢業於倫敦中央聖馬丁MA傳達設計學系。自2010年起創立「過去X未來多提無用 」自費出版為數不少的漫畫集以及圖文刊物。2021年以《瘋人院之旅》拿下台北書展大獎小說組首獎。 她的創作靈感來自男女關係、音樂、漫畫、電影和小說。經常將生活的黑暗、恨、失敗轉為狂想式的漫畫，也有像《癌症好朋友》、《

She often turns the dark side of life, its anger and failures, into fantastical graphic novels, but also creates true-to-life works such as Good Friend, Cancer. Her other works include A Trip to Asylum and When My Brother was a Kid. She was a resident of La Maison des Auteurs in Angoulême, France (2018-2019).
