The Ramayana (similar to the Bible) is the story of an avatar (human embodiment) of god. Rama ruled India 10,000 years ago according to researchers like Nilesh Oak and psychic channelers like Sheldan Nidle. In India and the Far East (and probably many other places too), you can find numerous temples to Lord Rama and his family members. The Ramayana is one of the oldest stories from the Indian sub-continent (where it is revered as a scriptural revelation and a practical guide to moral living). In Indian cinema, you can find many old black and white films about the Ramayana. A few decades ago, the Ramayana appeared in a popular comic book format and soon after, the first t.v. show made it's appearance on prime time (and ran for several years).
