二〇〇九年，作者在誤打誤撞之下發現，當時居住的波蘭城市克拉科夫（Kraków），竟然有一個暱稱為台灣（波蘭文拼法為Tajwan）的區域。在接下來十餘年間，她陸續在全波蘭發現四十八個叫「台灣」或「福爾摩沙」（波蘭文拼法為Formoza）的地方，而且種類繁多，從社區、村子、湖、島到工廠、陽台、軍事基地都有。

In 2009, the author unexpectedly discovered that the Polish city she was living in—Kraków—had an area nicknamed "Taiwan" (spelled *Tajwan* in Polish). Over the following decade, she went on to identify a total of 48 places across Poland named either “Taiwan” (*Tajwan*) or “Formosa” (*Formoza*). These locations were remarkably diverse, ranging from neighborhoods, villages, lakes, islands, factories, balconies, to military bases.

作者林蔚昀
詩人，作家，譯者。英國布紐爾大學戲劇系學士，波蘭雅捷隆大學波蘭文學研究所肄業，目前就讀國立臺北教育大學臺文所史學組。多年來致力在華語界推廣波蘭文學，於二〇一三年獲得波蘭文化部頒發波蘭文化功勳獎章，是首位獲得此項殊榮的台灣人。

作者 Wei-Yun Lin-Górecka
Poet, writer, and translator. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Drama from Brunel University, UK, and pursued graduate studies at the Institute of Polish Philology at Jagiellonian University in Poland. She is currently enrolled in the History track of the Graduate Institute of Taiwanese Literature at National Taipei University of Education. For many years, she has been dedicated to promoting Polish literature in the Chinese-speaking world. In 2013, she was awarded the Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis by the Polish Ministry of Culture, becoming the first Taiwanese recipient of this prestigious honor.

台灣與波蘭的關係，並不只是從一九五〇年代開始，一六三六年，第一位踏上福爾摩沙的波蘭人梅欽斯基，早於荷治時期，就已經為福爾摩沙留下紀錄！延續時間線，或有人親自到訪，或在媒體上持續關注，遠在中東歐的波蘭因各種理由，在彼岸遠遠地關注著太平洋上的這座島。本書期盼透過爬梳波蘭文獻中的台灣，為兩地關係定錨，更重要的是，將台灣化為世界的台灣。

作品簡介

The relationship between Taiwan and Poland did not begin in the 1950s. As early as 1636—before the Dutch colonial period—the first Polish person to set foot on Formosa, Michał Boym, had already left behind records of the island. Continuing along the historical timeline, some Poles would later visit Taiwan in person, while others followed it through media coverage. For various reasons, Poland—far away in Central and Eastern Europe—has long been quietly observing this island in the Pacific. This book seeks to trace the presence of Taiwan within Polish literature and records, anchoring the historical ties between the two places. More importantly, it aspires to present Taiwan as a part of the world—Taiwan as a global Taiwan.
