林香薇 國立臺灣師範大學國文學系教授。曾任臺灣語文學會會長、教育部國語推行委員會《臺灣臺語常用詞辭典》副總編輯。主要研究領域為閩南語詞彙學、閩南語音韻學、臺語詩的語文研究、日治時期臺灣語研究等。著有專書《臺語詩的漢字與詞彙：從向陽到路寒袖》，另有學術論文〈日治時期熊谷良正《臺灣語之研究》的幾點觀察〉、〈譯經與語言學：巴克禮臺語《聖經》的語法問題〉、〈日治時期川合真永臺灣語著作的幾點觀察〉等二十餘篇。

本書主要從「歷史視域」與「兩岸視域」的角度探討歌仔冊的語文問題。「歷史視域」指的是透過歷時的視角，觀察清朝、日治時期至戰後歌仔冊文獻所呈現的各種變遷與現象；「兩岸視域」則採取共時的視角，對比中國大陸的廈門與上海，以及臺灣的臺北、新竹、臺中、嘉義、臺南等地的歌仔冊，分析其異同之處。在研究方法上，本書嘗試運用「共時—歷時—地域—結構」的理論框架，作為論述語文演變的基礎。具體而言，將從漢字書寫、語法功能、押韻形式及詞彙選用等層面，綜合觀察歌仔冊文獻，以釐清哪些元素屬於歷史傳承、哪些則為局部創新，並進一步歸納其演變規律或類型。最後，將參考語文形式的發展及出版的相關情況，重新界定歌仔冊語文發展的分期。

This book aims to explore the linguistic characteristics of Kua-A-Tsheh from "historical" and "cross-strait" perspectives. The "historical context" examines the changes and phenomena in Kua-A-Tsheh literature over time, from the Qing dynasty, Japanese colonial period, to post-war era. Meanwhile, the "cross-strait contex" adopts a synchronic approach, comparing Kua-A-Tsheh from Xiamen and Shanghai in mainland China with those from Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Chiayi, and Tainan in Taiwan, analyzing their similarities and differences.
