Agent Lu Yangming of the NSB is tasked with monitoring ex-intelligence officer Yu Congyi after his release from prison. But when Yu starts acting strangely and even ditches surveillance, the NSB suspects he's defected to the communists and hands the case over to the Military Intelligence Bureau for cleanup. Determined not to be outplayed, Lu continues tracking Yu—only to be nearly killed by a communist hit squad, Pegasus. Shockingly, Yu rescues him. Realizing things aren’t what they seem, Lu decides to dig deeper. Meanwhile, rookie agent Lai Yongxin receives secret orders from MIB and the president: if she locates Yu within ten hours, she'll earn a promotion and redeem the Bureau’s tarnished image. But Yu’s “betrayal” hides a bitter truth—he was abandoned by his own government. Now seeking justice, not revenge, he aims to expose the real traitors.
