Frédéric Debomy, who has observed Myanmar for over 20 years, appears in the narrative alongside his friends to provide commentary, while also gathering testimonies from everyday Burmese people and social activists.

This graphic novel is a collaboration between the French writer Frédéric Debomy, an expert on Burmese politics, and the comic artist Lau Kwong Shing, an eyewitness to Hong Kong’s pro-democracy movements. It is an account of the two years since the military coup in Myanmar, as well as the related historical and political contexts. The original version is bilingual in Chinese and English, with Thai and Burmese versions freely available online, in the hope of bringing more visibility to Myanmar’s situation, which has been overlooked by the media and lacks international attention.
