A surreal tale of self-awakening, where reality and dreams intertwine. Lin Lu, once an Arctic researcher, is now trapped in her rural hometown as a middle school teacher. When she reunites with Yu Chen, a free-spirited truck driver, their journey blurs the boundaries between dreams and reality.

井子 1995年生，畢業於廣州美術學院雕塑系，2020年開始投入漫畫創作，2022年起為研讀漫畫旅居日本。最喜歡的作家是大江健三郎。熱愛蘋果派和肯尼亞淺焙咖啡豆做的手沖咖啡。 獨立出版了短篇漫畫集《蒸發之海》。《溫河幻覺Waterlogged Dreams》是她的第一本商業發行作品。

IKO Born in 1995, IKO graduated from the Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. She began creating comics in 2020 and moved to Japan in 2022 to further study the medium. Her favorite writer is Kenzaburō Ōe. She has a fondness for apple pie and hand-brewed coffee made with light-roast Kenyan beans. She independently published a short comic collection titled The Sea of Evaporation. Waterlogged Dreams is her first commercially released work.

林路曾是北極研究員，因母親陷入植物人狀態而返回故鄉照料。七年來，她過著乏味的高中教師生活，在日復一日的規律生活中逐漸麻木。在偶然地與自由不羈、特立獨行的卡車司機余晨重逢後，林路的內心世界開始產生微妙變化。 在林路反覆做出的清醒夢中，她總是在一座被巨大水域包圍的島上醒來，島上有一塊如大象般的巨岩。無論她如何努力，都無法逃離這個夢境。當余晨也出現在夢中後，夢與現實的界線逐漸模糊。高潮時刻，她們放生了一頭大象，牠引領林路走向一次深層的覺醒，使她長期被壓抑的靈魂得以釋放。 本作風格受到日本劇畫的影響，作者是一位旅居日本的年輕中國女性，她透過 Instagram 發布的短篇故事吸引了眾多劇畫與Galo文化的愛好者。

Lin Lu, once a researcher in Arctic, returns to her hometown to care for her mother, who is in a vegetative state. For seven years, she led a dull life as a high school teacher, her spirit numbed by routine. However, when she reunites with Yu Chen, a free-spirited, unconventional truck driver, Lin Lu’s world begins to shift. Together, they traverse the line between reality and dream. In Lin Lu’s recurring lucid dream, she awakens on an island surrounded by a vast water body with a giant elephant-shaped rock. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot escape. After Yu Chen joins her in the dream, the boundary between dream and reality blurs. In a climactic moment, they release an elephant that leads Lin Lu to a profound awakening that frees her long-repressed soul.
