在記者會的鎂光燈下，葉如夏宣布將FBI行為分析技術引入台灣警界，立志用犯罪剖繪改變破案方式。年輕刑警林守正滿懷憧憬加入，卻發現學長每天只歸檔卷宗、不理案件，直到一具被膠帶封死、藏於汽車旅館床板背後的男屍現身。死者身分複雜，調查陷入僵局。葉如夏卻從黏貼手法、藏屍位置、監視盲區分析出兇手極可能是房務人員，更指出此案與1985年西門町無頭分屍案高度相似，可能是同一名連環女殺手所為。當警方還沉溺於性別與體力的刻板推理時，他已精準鎖定那名貌不驚人的清潔婦，一場獵人與獵物的心理對決就此揭幕。
第二起案件更令人髮指。機車行老闆王水木與員工鄺人傑聯手性侵並殺害一名逃家少女，甚至將她殺害後分食屍體。案件看似明朗，葉如夏卻從兇手過於熟練的施虐過程察覺端倪——這不是第一次。他比對七起背景相似的失蹤案，發現王水木可能是連環殺人犯。為了逼出藏匿多年的真相，他們決定帶著王水木重回現場，查出屍體藏匿的位置。葉如夏懷疑，那裡不只是棄屍地，還可能關著倖存的少女。警方已展開擴大搜索，只要王水木露出一絲破綻，就能找到更多線索。他們知道，時間在倒數，每遲一步，或許就少一個人能活著回家。

【OUTLINE】 At a press conference, Yeh Ru-Hsia introduced FBI behavioral analysis techniques to Taiwan’s police, aiming to transform crime-solving through profiling. Young detective Lin Shou-Cheng eagerly joined, only to find his mentor buried in paperwork—until a man’s duct-taped body was found behind a motel bedboard. The case stalled, but Yeh’s analysis pointed to hotel staff and echoed a 1985 headless murder, possibly by the same female serial killer. While others clung to gender stereotypes, Yeh zeroed in on a quiet cleaning lady. The hunt began. Then came a more gruesome case: a runaway girl raped, killed, and partially eaten by a scooter shop owner and his employee. It seemed open-and-shut, but Yeh sensed they'd done this before. Linking seven similar disappearances, she suspected serial murder. To uncover the truth, the team brought the suspect back to old crime scenes. Yeh feared survivors might still be trapped. With time running out, one misstep could cost another life.
