一九三八年生於台北，為畫家郭雪湖之子。台大外文系畢業，曾任教於母校，亦曾參與電影演出。六〇年代赴美留學，獲加州柏克萊大學比較文學碩士，後任職聯合國。八〇年代重拾寫作，筆名羅安達，發表多篇小說於港台報刊。著有《雙月記》、《奔跑的母親》、《驚婚》等，並出版《郭松棻文集》。二○○五年病逝於紐約，享年六十七歲。

Guo Songfan
Born in 1938 in Taipei, he was the son of painter Kuo Hsueh-hu. A graduate of the Department of Foreign Languages at National Taiwan University, he later taught there and appeared in films. In the 1960s, he earned a Master’s in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley and worked at the United Nations. In the 1980s, he returned to writing under the pen name Luo Anda, publishing fiction in Hong Kong and Taiwan. His works include Bimonthly Journal, Running Mother, Surprise Marriage, and The Collected Works of Guo Songfan. He died in New York in 2005 at age 67.

一度被迫滯居海外的郭松棻，無論就其政治思維與行動，或者是創作中極具現代主義美感的文學語言，都是台灣文學史上一抹秀異而特出的身影。 與家鄉母土遙遠隔閡的傷痕，為他的書寫帶來別樣的面貌。一如許多經歷過跨國離散經驗的流徙者，母國故鄉的記憶終成為生命中一再飄搖、迴盪的跫音，郭松棻部分創作也受到這樣的感召。 於是，來自故土的呼喚總是以充滿包容性的母者形象出現，多病而蒼白的少年則彷彿具現了那不能歸返的焦灼；這些雜糅了自身成長經驗與懷鄉情感的意象，都成為他作品裡鮮明、獨特的風格。 本書試圖以小說創作追索郭松棻的文學生命，並以此脈絡重新梳理他留下的小說作品，收錄多篇其早期書寫，以及貼近個人記憶與情感的創作。期望透過完整的輯錄與爬梳，呈現最純粹而文學的郭松棻。

Once exiled abroad, Guo Songfan remains a remarkable figure in Taiwanese literary history, known for both his political convictions and the modernist aesthetics of his prose. The wound of separation from home adds a distinct layer to his writing. Like many who have experienced displacement, memories of his homeland echo throughout his work. Some stories are deeply rooted in this longing—where the homeland often appears as a nurturing maternal figure, and frail youths embody the anxiety of exile. These recurring images, drawn from personal experience and nostalgia, form a vivid and unique literary style. This book traces Guo Songfan’s literary journey through fiction, compiling early and emotionally resonant works to present the most authentic and literary expression of his legacy.
