畢業於東華大學華文文學系，現為臺灣大學臺灣文學研究所博士生。曾獲文化部青年創作補助、打狗鳳邑文學獎、後生文學獎首獎、臺大文學獎首獎、高雄青年文學獎首獎。論文曾獲楊牧文學獎「研究論著獎」、文化研究學會「博碩士論文獎」。合著有《出版島讀：臺灣人文出版的百年江湖》、《冷不防》導讀別冊。

This book consists of ten short stories, forming a chronological novel framed by Taiwan's century-long history (from the early 20th century to the 21st century). For example, the opening story, "A Journey to Formosa," is set in the early 20th century, depicting a British man assisting a commercial association in investigating Taiwan's camphor industry during the Japanese colonial period. More intriguingly, the book addresses Taiwan's issues through alternate history. For instance, "Please Close Your Eyes" fictionalizes Taiwan as a state of the United States, reflecting on the student movements of the 1960s when Taiwan was absent, while "To My Brothers in the Immigrant Village" imagines Taiwan Each story has a distinct historical backdrop. The confrontation between Taiwan and China often puts Taiwan in the international spotlight, yet Taiwan's complexity is not always understood. This novel delves deep into Taiwan's hundred-year history, offering insight into its multifaceted narrative.
