「不管是捕獲到的獵物，還是採集到的野菜，都是我們受到前人、祖靈還有神靈的眷顧，所以我們會將得到的食物，分享給其他人——」 刺蔥與雞蛋製成的玉子燒、月桃花瓣搭配昭和草的野菜天婦羅、紫蘇葉包裹竹莢魚烤製的山家燒，有如千葉縣鄉土吃法⋯⋯ 二戰時期，善於料理的阿美族女孩──巴奈，在移居花蓮港躲避戰火的日本家庭幫傭。 物資匱乏的戰爭年代，她結合在地食材與部落文化，做成了一道道特殊的日式料理，不但勾起味蕾的回憶，也安撫日本雇主一家思鄉的心。 一次冒險的海邊採集，巴奈與日本警察信介的命運產生交集，不曾有過的陌生情感，悄然而生⋯⋯ 新星漫畫家南南日，前往花蓮阿美族部落實地考察、親身走訪當地祭儀與歷史痕跡，以源自土地的料理為題材，繪出戰爭時代下的飲食日常，也娓娓道盡生活裡的鄉愁。

During the tumultuous period of World War II, a young Amis girl named Panai worked as a housemaid for a Japanese family in Hualien. Combining locally foraged wild vegetables with Japanese culinary styles, she created uniquely flavored dishes that not only evoked her employers' nostalgic taste memories but also soothed their homesickness. During a daring seaside foraging trip, Panai's fate intertwines with that of Shinji, a Japanese policeman, sparking the quiet blossoming of unfamiliar emotions. Emerging manga artist Nananri visited Amis villages in Hualien, capturing the wartime daily life of food and heartfelt nostalgia through delicate illustrations. This touching story transforms history and culture into a moving narrative.
