Dark Days includes three stories, illustrated by Yao-Ching Tseng and written by Frédéric Debomy, of an imaginary country, exploring the context of totalitarian and democratic regimes. "Even as we navigate through darkness, we must avoid repeating the same mistakes that have shaped our present."

TSENG Yao-Ching Born in Kaohsiung in 1989, Yao-Ching Tseng graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University. He uses painting and writing as mirrored extensions of his body, placing great emphasis on physicality and spontaneity in the creative process. Through various gestures and modes of movement, he strives to describe and shape both himself and the world around him. He aims for the form of his work to constitute part of its content, rather than functioning merely as a vessel. Frédéric Debomy Born in 1975 in the suburbs of Paris, Frédéric Debomy launched the project Burma: Fear is a Habit in 2001, which included book publications, exhibitions, and events such as documentary screenings, TV reports, and debates. Over the years, he coordinated France Info Birmanie, a platform dedicated to supporting democratic reform in Myanmar. He has participated as a researcher in a seminar at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), an
The radio announced that society had descended into chaos, and the military was about to take over the country, imposing strict control. People marched in the streets, waving banners that read "University Autonomy" and "Soldiers Back to the Barracks." In the darkest times, love is the only salvation... Three stories unfold, chronicling the inception, development, and reconstruction of autocracy and democracy.
