繪本作家，與家人住在台北。幾米自學插畫創作給各年齡層讀者閱讀的繪本，開啟了成人繪本的新類型。 出版繪本二十多年來，幾米創作了超過七十部作品，作品被翻譯成二十多種語文，在全球各地出版了兩百多部各種外語的書籍。幾米作品在台灣、中國大陸、香港、比利時、西班牙、瑞典、葡萄牙、義大利、法國都曾獲得重要獎項。 除了繪本之外，近年幾米也嘗試油畫、雕塑等其他形式的藝術創作。持續創作，透過各類作品與讀者互動，傳遞彼此的情感，是幾米每天決定要讓自己快樂的事。

Jimmy LIAO
Jimmy began creating illustrated books in 1998, expanding picture books’ audience beyond children. He has published over 70 works, translated into many languages including English, French, Spanish, Japanese, German, and more. He has also created original works for publishers in the UK, US, and Japan. Studio Voice named him one of Asia’s “most creative 55 people,” and Discovery Channel featured him as one of six outstanding Taiwanese in “Portraits Taiwan.” Many of his works have been adapted into musicals, TV dramas, and films. His animation A Fish that Smiled at Me won Best Short Film at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival. Jimmy’s awards include Taiwan’s Golden Tripod, Belgium’s Le Prix Versele, Spain’s top illustration prize, and Sweden’s Peter Pan Silver Stars. He has been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award since 2014, the most prestigious prize for children’s literature.

Han-han waits by the window, hoping for someone to come home. When a lion with a nail stuck in its paw arrives, Han-han gently helps by removing the nail and bandaging the wound. Soon, an elephant and a crane also come by for his care. Despite helping his new friends, Han-han continues to wait nervously and excitedly for his father, who has been gone for a long time. Under the Same Moon is Jimmy Liao’s warm and innocent gift to the world. Simple yet deeply touching, it reveals a child’s pure hope and kindness, expressing everyone’s wish for peace.
