黃郁欽畢業於電影相關科系,熱愛繪畫與創作。自1986年從事電視編劇工作,並於1988年開始投入繪本創作。已出版多部繪本作品,包括《兩撇喙鬚醫生——賴和》、《好物仔》、《要站哪一邊?》、《給我咬一口》、《小鷹與老鷹》、《媽媽是天使》、《喵喵,不要!》、《我家在這裡》等,以及生活旅遊文學作品《繪本感小物的旅行紀事》。 黃郁欽曾獲得第三屆牧笛獎首獎、第七屆陳國政兒童文學獎優選、第二十四屆信誼幼兒文學獎佳作等多項殊榮,並於2016年入選義大利波隆那國際插畫展。
Yu-Chin HUANG is a Taiwanese illustrator and picture book author who has received multiple children’s literature awards, including the Mudei Award and the Hsin Yi Picture Book Award. His works often focus on Taiwanese history, culture, and humanistic themes, aiming to convey Taiwan’s stories through picture books. In 2016, he was selected for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition.
本書以繪本形式生動呈現台灣近代藝術先驅黃土水的一生,描繪他短暫卻非凡的藝術歷程。黃土水因政治因素一度被遺忘,直到近年多場展覽重新喚起大眾對他的關注。書中採用獨特的拼貼色紙技法,致敬他的雕塑作品。作者關注台灣重要歷史人物的流失,特別策劃以台灣日治時期人物為主題的繪本系列,書中附有台語有聲錄音與中文翻譯,適合各年齡層讀者閱讀與欣賞。
Rediscover Taiwan’s lost history through the story of Huang Tu-shui, Taiwan’s modern art pioneer, in this first biographical picture book. Once forgotten due to political reasons, Huang was reintroduced through exhibitions from 2020 to 2023. Using a unique colored-paper collage technique, this book tells his short yet remarkable life, honoring his sculptures. Concerned about preserving Taiwanese history, the author created a series on figures from the Japanese colonial era, written in Taiwanese. The book features Taiwanese audio narration and a Chinese translation, inspiring readers of all ages.
