Founded in 1987, SPO contributes to the acquisition of Korean, Taiwanese and Chinese video contents (films, TV/internet dramas) and their distribution in Japan, Japanese dramas’ production and overseas rights licensing, and investment/co-production of drama series. Except for its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, SPO has branch offices in Taipei, Taiwan and Seoul, Korea. It also runs movie theaters mainly playing Asian films in Tokyo and Osaka. Besides, SPO runs a website introducing Asian entertainment and lifestyles, which is called Cinemart.
