TOBY
Born in a UK cinematic family, Toby's fascination with kung-fu movie since 8, we follow his path in digging out the treasures of Kung-fu movies some see as cliché.
Introduction
Toby wars born in UK cinematic family, son of noted british director Ken Russell. In the 1970's, Bruce Lee brought the uniquely eastern kung fu movie genre to the West and started a wave of popular trend. Ever since Toby received books related to Bruce Lee from mom, he was fascinated and became a super Kungfu movie fan. This is a documentary about a western kid, kung fu movies fanatic, heading eastward to chase his Kungfu cinema dreams; en route, illustrates the rise and fall of kung movie epoque. Once the Kungfu movies heatwave ceased, Toby tries hard to collect these abandoned films all over the world and restores and digitizes them. There are a number of fans around the globe from past to now, whom treasure these movies more than ever, made me reflect our unknowingly laissez-faire attitude toward this unique art form.
