Wow! What is It?
Summer is a thriving season for all living things. Ripen on the branches, one by one the fruit fairies wake up from their sleep. Round and plump watermelons roll, turning into lively ladybugs, while mangos, golden with deep fragrance, stretch out and transform into flying shrikes. Suddenly, a waft of strange black and grey mist drifts by. It does not take roots in soil, nor does it sprout in water. Instead, it makes the land grey and sick in misery.
Introduction
The picture book Hey! What is It?, based on the puppet play “Story of Solar Terms Fruits Projects: Summer” produced by Yinalang.Group in 2021, focuses on Taiwanese fruits in season, depicting the seasonal imagery from various perspectives such as fruits, land and memories.
