The He family home was invaded by an intruder, father Kaisen was tortured to death, one child was killed and the other was left in a coma. Kaisen’s wife, Ziyuan, survived but had an ear cut off. With the only clue that the intruder was looking for a vital piece of evidence in their home, Ziyuan was sure it has something to do with the law firm that Kaisen was working for. Determined to avenge her family, Ziyuan became a lawyer herself and joined the law firm. Ziyuan worked her way up the rank and at the same time gets close to Kaisen’s colleague and friend Zhi Wei, whom she suspects played a part in the former’s death. The truth behind the family’s attack surfaces, but what lies beneath the truth proves to be even more sinister. How will Ziyuan protect herself and how does Zhiwei fits into the whole puzzle, is he friend or foe?
