FLOWER CALENDER
"One flower a day" After resetting to zero, I saw a flower blooming in my heart for each day that passed. During the spring equinox of 2020, hope for life emerged in a completely different form. The COVID-19 virus, with its strong vitality, swept across the world, devouring 800,000 lives (as of the statistics of the end of the autumnal equinox). As the world was immersed in fear and silence, the beautiful island in the Pacific Ocean deployed an extraordinary defense with tender care, and bloomed a victorious flower of epidemic prevention. It appeared as a red dot rising from the distant mountains, fearless and faithful to its commitments, arriving as scheduled.
Introduction
Following the release of the fully hand-drawn edible plant calendar in 2018, the rice calendar in 2019, and the fern calendar in 2020, SeedDesign has now selected 365 personally beloved flowers for the twilight moments after the pandemic, in the garden of the 24 solar terms.
We at Seed try to harness the power of writing, painting, and doing things by hand. Our seeds are stories that remind us of the relationships between land, culture, and history and harvest the fruits of tradition, yielding knowledge of how to regard nature. With eyes brimming with natural curiosity and affection, we propose new appraisals and approaches. We hope to spread the beauty and goodness of every seed we sow around the world.
